My name is Toon Van Tongelen aka ‘Tone V’.
I’m a video content creator mostly focused on Travel, Timelapse, Music Video’s & Drones.
Oh yeah, I also live that #vanlife with my girlfriend, or at least as much as we can!

My story
Ever since I can remember I’ve been making video’s. It started with my friends in the neighbourhood and a simple video recorder. I just never really put the camera down & stuck with it!
My last 2 years in high school I opted for ‘Multimedia’ here I learned the very basics of filmmaking, but I have to admit, most of my knowledge comes from the internet, watching other people & doing it firsthand.
When I finally graduated high school I chose to go to a filmschool in Brussels. This ended up being way too strict for me. It wasn’t encouraging me to be creative or think outside the box. It was around that time I got a call to document a boyband and their journey in the USA (click here for some of the work I did for them). After over 7 months with them I decided I wanted to move on & together with my friend Mr Dyne I converted a regular van into a small home on wheels to travel around Europe.
After a few trips we decided to start taking it a little bit more serious & contacted some brands to try & get them to sponsor our next road trip! Long story short, we managed to get some sponsorships & went on an unforgettable 3 week adventure in the Alps & Italian Dolomites. One of the brands reached out to us & put us on their payroll to travel almost 6 out of 12 months!
That brings us to my previous employer: Gemini
In this company I mostly delivered video content of their products & for the brand. Travelling all around the world was a big part of my job.
Now I work as a drone operator with Eagleyes, a brand new drone company that does all round drone stuff. Drone inspections, indoor & outdoor flights, 2D & 3D mapping… you name it! For more drone related information check out Eagleyes.eu
